About the Event

Archaeologists have traced the world's first known wine making back to the country of Georgia and people of the South Caucasus in 6,000BC! But who were these ancient vignerons and what do we know about their culture, their winemaking techniques, their connection to present-day Georgians? Explore the country of Georgia through wine, food and science with anthropologists Dr. Aram Yardumian and Dr. Miguel Vilar, and wine expert Russ Israel of CBL Wine Co. The program will include a discussion about the cultural, history and genetic ancestry of the Georgian people. We'll also taste a diverse array of Georgian wines and some Georgian-inspired foods. There's even a DNA ancestry test (optional) for those interested in learning more about their family’s migration history.

This is an indoor event. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination required.
